ELIGIBILITY
|
Students in grades 10, 11, and 12 in the Macon County (Notasulga High School) or Montgomery City school (Robert E. Lee High School).
Math/Science teachers in the Macon County or Montgomery City school districts. A stipend will be provided for participation in the Academy. Please, see full eligibility criteria for students and teachers. |
WHAT IS THE BUILDERS ACADEMY?

The BUILDERS Academy is a 3-week summer enrichment program on the campus of Tuskegee University, designed in partnership with school district officials from the Macon County, Phenix City, and Montgomery City School Districts. The focus of the Academy is to engage high school students from the participating districts in activities to gain technology experiences and build problem solving skills. Under the guidance of certified math and science teachers from the districts’ high schools and Tuskegee faculty mentors, students will work in teams to:
As students perform their investigations, teachers will write lesson plans based on their Academy observations to infuse in their instruction during the school year. |
CAPSTONE ACTIVITY

Students will present their Academy work at an open house held at the Tuskegee University Campus in a Spring showcase (June 29th, time and location TBA).
Family and friends are invited and encouraged to attend. |
